Renae Shaffer
Owner/Stylist
Dreams do come true!
Renae wanted to become a hair stylist in high school but life took her in a different direction. She has been an Accountant for 35 years. When her daughters went to college she took the opportunity to go to Cana Virginia Beauty School. She joined the Hair Classics Associate program in August 2019. Having a background in accounting she was able to help Amy and Donna with bookkeeping. With the Lord guiding them every step of the way, in October 2019, Renae purchased Hair Classics.
She is so excited to serve you as a stylist and owner of the salon.
Donna Higgins
Stylist
Donna graduated in 1968 from Instate Beauty Academy in Norfolk, VA. Won the Most Talented Award. She became an instructor at the Academy for 2 years. Donna then worked at Yackey Yak for 7 years. When Donna moved to Galax she opened Hair Classics in 1978 at the current location. Her daughter, Amy became her partner in 1997. In 2019 they sold the business to Renae and passed on the ownership of Hair Classics.” I’m committed to continuing education and learning new and exciting techniques. So I strive to make my guests feel and look as Fabulous as possible.”
Carrie Vass
Stylist
Carrie Vass has been a hairstylist since 2013. While receiving her education through Carroll County High School, she was awarded 1st place at District Level Hair Competition and 4th place at State Level Competition. “My enthusiasm for hair has led me to Hair Classics, where my passion has grown and excelled. I enjoy my guests and love to create a variety of hair styles with excellence.” Carrie is a senior stylist/educator for our team and offers a variety of customizable services!
Autumn Fuller
Stylist
Autumn is a graduate of Cana Virginia Beauty College. She has been growing her hair career since 2018. She is passionate about hair, and making her guest feel their absolute best. Autumn has a strong passion for short, textured hair and loves mastering the perfect blonde for her guest! Autumn has advanced in skill level and is always willing to help her team.
Michelle Rosalino
Front Desk Specialist
Michelle received her cosmetology license as a graduate of Grayson County High School and joined Hair Classics as an Associate. She moved onto the floor as a full time stylist in May 2023. Michelle’s goal is to build relationships and provide the best service to every guest in her chair. Michelle continues to grow and learn so she can be the best stylist she can be! We are fortunate to have Michelle on our team!
Jetta Sawyers
Associate/Stylist
I graduated from Grayson Co Highschool with my Cosmetology License in 2023.
Since I was a girl my dream has been to do hair and I am so excited that God led me to Hair Classics and their Associate Program.
I am mastering my skills and will be taking new guest very soon! I look forward to building lifelong relationships with all my guest! I am beyond blessed to be part of the team at Hair Classics!
